Recommendations for successful sales: Vaccinated calves sell better! We recommend that your calves are processed according to the LMA Vacc Program Certification or the Minnesota Pre-Conditioning Certificate guidelines. These forms are available by clicking on the Upload Forms button. Fill out the information and bring the forms when dropping off your feeders. Your information will then be read from the auction block before your feeders are sold.
- Four-way Virus Vaccine for IBR-PI3-BVD-BRSV
- 7-way Clostridial +Hemophilus Somnus
- Pasteurella
- External and internal parasite control
- Use subcutaneous injection, if permitted on label
- Administer all shots in the neck
- Booster shots at least 14 days prior to sale
- Wean a minimum of 45 days
- Knife cut while still on cows
- Dehorn prior to weaning
- Consider a 10 to 1 buyer ratio on calves with 1st and 2nd series shots that are weaned at least 45 days versus
calves that are not. Take full advantage of our advertising by consigning your feeder cattle at least two weeks prior to the sale.
